“What text book should I use to prepare for XYZ Subject GATE Preparation”?
The honest answer is FOLLOW YOUR UNIVERSITY PRESCRIBED TEXTBOOKS. There are two important parts in GATE Exam preparation. One part is mastering the basics and the University Recommended text books are more than sufficient for this.
The second part is practicing problems and we both know there are too many resources for that.
For a practical analysis, search on Google for “GATE Text Books for YOURBRANCHNAME”.
In the result pages, see how many text books are suggested for each subject. Also note that different people suggest different textbooks. So, invest your time and stress on basics and practice. You ll know how well you are doing when you practice your Previous GATE papers book.
So, our suggestion is DON’T START READING NEW TEXTBOOKS UNLESS YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR UNIVERSITY PRESCRIBED TEXTBOOKS.
