GATE Exam Question Paper for Geology and Geophysics also has a General Aptitude section carrying 15 marks with a usual break-up of 5 one mark questions and 5 two mark questions.(Subtotal of 15 marks).
Apart from the GA ( General Aptitude ) section, there are two parts:
Part A has 25 one mark questions and is a compulsory section.
Part B (Choice of sections) has 30 two mark questions in each of the two sections - Section 1 and section 2. Candidate may choose which section he/she wishes to answer. The candidate may not combine questions from these sections. Only one section must be chosen.
There will be two pairs of common data and two pairs of linked answer questions.
