The exam you are preparing for is GATE Exam. Can you think of any other standard exam for engineers which tests knowledge gained for 3 years? No. GMAT, GRE, CAT, MAT etc require not more than 1 year of learning.
When we talk to students who cracked GATE Exam in second attempt, we ask them why they couldn’t do it despite their high engineering aggregates in the first attempt. The most common answer we hear is:
“In Engineering, we revise one subject for one whole day and give the exam for 3 hours on that one subject. To remember 25 such subjects needed at least 2 revisions for 2 months. We realized this when we gave e GATE Exam the first time. So we found out how to approach the second time and scored well”
